All newly elected representatives to the House of Representatives are informed of the rules there. That doesn’t mean they all follow the rules. That is especially true when it comes to new Democrats who violated the rules before they served their first day there.
New Jersey’s newly elected representatives violated the House rules yesterday by taking a group selfie of themselves on the House floor. A rule was passed in 2017 forbidding that. The Daily Caller has more on this bad behavior from the new Democrats:
The freshman representatives-elect from the state of New Jersey violated House rules on Tuesday by taking a photograph of themselves from the House floor.
Democratic Rep.-elect Tom Malinowski posted a picture of himself and fellow Democratic New Jersey Reps.-elect Andy Kim and Mikie Sherrill on Twitter.
“New Jersey is in the House!” Malinowski tweeted.
