Amid rumors that both Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg are going to step down, more scandals are mounting at the beleaguered social media platform daily. You can add to those scandals getting caught red-handed allowing human trafficking to take place. Facebook allowed the sale of a 16-year-old child bride in South Sudan that started on their site in late October. The post was removed Nov. 9th, almost a week after the girl was auctioned off.
Zuckerberg and Facebook allow this kind of thing to go on but they ban conservatives for reporting sourced stories they politically don’t like. Facebook won’t even commit to changing their policies on human trafficking and one wonders if it is in deference to Islam adherents. Plan International ripped Facebook in a statement for the “barbaric use of technology” that it said was “reminiscent of latter-day slave markets.” Fox Business has more on this evil development at Facebook:
Facebook is under fire from international human rights organizations for not stopping the sale of a 16-year-old child bride on its site that started at the end of October.
An auction was held on the social media giant for the marriage of a 16-year-old girl in South Sudan on Nov. 3. The winner reportedly gave the girl’s father 500 cows, three cars and $10,000 in exchange for his daughter, according to Plan International, a children’s rights organization.
