Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is now 85-years-old and incredibly frail. She just had another incident where she fell at work and broke three ribs on Nov. 7th. This is causing real panic on the left as President Trump has already put two men on the Supreme Court and if Ginsburg steps down, he’ll get a shot at a third justice. That would cement the court in conservatism for a generation.
After the sordid confirmation hearings where the left tried to politically lynch Justice Brett Kavanaugh, another confirmation process would probably be even worse. Both Ginsburg and 80-year-old Justice Stephen Breyer could have stepped down during Obama’s tenure and ensured a more liberal court. Neither did so because they did not think Hillary Clinton could lose… but she did. The Hill has more on this Supreme Court battle:
Some offered to donate their ribs, others recommended cloaking her in bubble wrap.
The reactions following news that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had fractured three ribs in a fall at her office on Nov. 7 may have been made in jest, but some no doubt were rooted in real worry.
At 85, Ginsburg is the oldest member of the Supreme Court and this month’s health scare left many wondering if she’ll really serve for five more years as promised.
But she’s not the only one in recovery mode.
