Since the Golden Globe Awards speech she gave, speculations have been going around that Oprah Winfrey is actively thinking about running for president in 2020.
But, her past comments are under more scrutiny.
Although she claims to be a Christian, she has made several statements that seem to contradict that.
Because of comments she made in the past, many people are in doubt if she believes in the divinity of Jesus Christ. She has made some un-Christian remarks, including calling for the old white people to die because they may be racist.
“Of course problem is not solved. You know, as long as people can be judged by the color of their skin, problem’s not solved. As long as there are people who still, there’s a whole generation — I say this, you know, I said this, you know, for apartheid South Africa, I said this for my own, you know, community in the south — there are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die.”
She has also made statements that appear to say that her idea of faith leans more to a New Age belief system.
“Everything that I am has come from my belief in that which I call God. My idea of what that is, is no longer a person out there or in the sky, but my belief in understanding that there was a force, a presence, a power, a Divine Entity, a being that loved me. And the very idea of being loved into being is what has kept me grounded, centered and strong.”
