“In a routine physical exam, a small nodule was found in the prostate which necessitated further evaluation,” a source told ABC News, as reported by Trending Politics.
The New York Times added that additional details about the diagnosis have not been revealed, while Fox News noted that Biden’s spokesperson did not immediately respond to repeated requests for comment.

“As expected, the biopsy confirmed that the small lesion was basal cell carcinoma. All cancerous tissue was successfully removed,” O’Connor wrote, according to Fox News.
“The area around the biopsy site was treated presumptively with electrodessication and curettage at the time of biopsy. No further treatment is required.”
He also reassured the public, saying, “The site of the biopsy has healed nicely and the President will continue dermatologic surveillance as part of his ongoing comprehensive healthcare.”
Prostate issues are common among elderly men, but Biden—who served as the oldest president in U.S. history—has faced increased public focus on his health.
