BREAKING: Fed Agents Trapped in 10-Vehicle AMBUSH in Chicago, Forced to OPEN FIRE

Federal Agents have come under attack during operations being carried out in Chicago today.

Border Patrol personnel working in a suburb of the windy city as part of DHS’s ‘Operation Midway Blitz’ were suddenly swarmed by nearly a dozen vehicles in the attack.

With their vehicles pinned in and unable to move for an extended period, the Agents were forced to get out of their cars and confront the attack on foot.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem described the incident in a post on X a short time ago, vowing that reinforcements were ‘on the way’.

She also referenced one of the attackers who was allegedly armed:

At least one of the attackers in the swarm of blocking vehicles was armed with what DHS described as a ‘semi-automatic weapon’.

At some point during the standoff the armed individual was fired upon by the Federal Agents — and was hit.

My understanding at this time is that her injuries are not life-threatening.

Fox News is reporting that the Agents were on a ‘routine’ operation when the attack unfolded.

This is one of the videos showing the scene immediately after the altercation when Federal ‘Special Operations’ reinforcements arrived to secure the scene:

Several of the vehicles reportedly ‘RAMMED’ the Federal Agents during the assault.

None of the law enforcement involved in the incident suffered any serious injuries.

The Agents fired upon the armed attacker in self-defense, according to a DHS spokesperson quoted in this Fox News report:

Federal agents were rammed and boxed in by 10 cars in Broadview, Ill., where anti-U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) crowds have been gathering for days, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said.

DHS said agents were unable to move their vehicles and had to exit. One of the drivers accused of ramming into the law enforcement vehicle was armed with a semi-automatic weapon, according to McLaughlin. She said officers “were forced to deploy their weapons and fire defensive shots at an armed U.S. citizen.”

No law enforcement officers were seriously injured during the incident, McLaughlin said, adding that the situation is evolving.

The agents were reportedly performing a routine patrol in Broadview, a suburb of Chicago, when the alleged assault occurred.

Earlier this month, ICE launched Operation Midway Blitz, describing the operation as one that, “will target the criminal illegal aliens who flocked to Chicago and Illinois because they knew Governor Pritzker and his sanctuary policies would protect them and allow them to roam free on American streets.”

Tricia McLaughlin, the DHS Spokesperson referenced in that story, also issued a lengthy statement via her X account.

She didn’t identify the armed assailant by name who allegedly took rounds from the Agents…

But she said the woman was previously identified by Customs and Border Patrol as being a potential threat to their personnel:

Here’s the full text of her statement on X:

This morning, during routine patrolling in Broadview, in the same area of Chicago that law enforcement were assaulted yesterday, our brave law enforcement officers were rammed by vehicles and boxed in by 10 cars.

Agents were unable to move their vehicles and exited the car. One of the drivers who rammed the law enforcement vehicle was armed with a semi-automatic weapon. Law enforcement was forced to deploy their weapons and fire defensive shots at an armed US citizen who drove herself to the hospital to get care for wounds.

The armed woman was named in a @CBP intelligence bulletin last week for doxing agents and posting online ‘Hey to all my gang let’s fuck those mother fuckers up, don’t let them take anyone.’

Thankfully, no law enforcement officers were seriously injured in this attack.

Pritzker’s Chicago Police Department is leaving the shooting scene and refuses to assist us in securing the area. There is a growing crowd and we are deploying special operations to control the scene.

This is an evolving situation and we will give more information as soon as it becomes available. (Emphasis Added.)

If you noticed the portions of that statement I highlighted in bold, you might get a better picture of the threat facing these Federal Agents.

This wasn’t any more an ‘organic protest’ than the ones that sprung up in the past in places like Benghazi.

This had planning and intentionality behind it, first on the part of the woman who had PREVIOUSLY been identified for doxing CBP Agents and stating her intention to do them harm!

But secondly, I would like to know who gave the order for the Chicago PD Officers to LEAVE THE SCENE rather than helping the Federal Agents?

Was it the INTENTION of whoever gave that order to leave the Federal Agents on their own, with less force protection than they would have had otherwise?

Someone made that call.

Someone intentionally pulled those Officers away from the fight.

There seems to be some discrepancy surrounding how the armed woman shot by the Agents was ultimately identified and placed under arrest.

DHS’s McLaughlin included in her post that the individual drove herself to a hospital after being hit.

But the Chicago Fire Department said THEY transported her to the hospital when they ‘found’ her, as reported by the New York Post:

“The officers exited their trapped vehicle, when a suspect tried to run them over, forcing the officers to fire defensively,” according to DHS, which called the incident “an evolving situation” and noted FBI agents were currently on the scene.

The suspect, who is a U.S. citizen, was armed with a semi-automatic weapon, department spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said.

The gun-toting woman was already known to the federal agency for allegedly publicly identifying agents and encouraging people to attack them, according to McLaughlin.

“The armed woman was named in a CBP intelligence bulletin last week for doxing agents and posting online ‘Hey to all my gang let’s f–k those mother f–kers up, don’t let them take anyone,’” McLaughlin wrote on X.

The armed woman, who was not immediately identified, drove herself to the hospital after the shooting “to get care for her wounds,” McLaughlin added.

A spokesperson for the Chicago Fire Department told the Chicago Sun-Times the woman was later found and taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

“Unfortunately, [Gov.] JB Pritzker’s Chicago Police Department is leaving the shooting scene and refuses to assist us in securing the area. There is a crowd growing and we are deploying special operations to control [it],” McLaughlin said.

A mob had gathered in the area to protest the shooting, and were met with tear gas deployed by the federal agents, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The uptick in the physicality of the ‘protests’ has been noticeable in the videos coming out of the area over the last few days.

Here’s a clip — presumably from a chopper — flying over the Broadview ICE facility not far from where today’s ambush occurred.

You can see several moments when things get heated between the Federal Agents and protesters in this clip filmed yesterday by the local ABC News affiliate out of Chicago:

With the Left’s rhetoric demonizing ICE and other Federal Officers continuing unabated, it was only a matter of time before these sorts of occurrences became more frequent.

Now, with tensions even more inflamed, the likelihood of more violent interactions in the overnight hours tonight has certainly gone up.

It remains to be seen exactly what the ‘reinforcements’ promised by Kristi Noem will look like, though she promised they would be deployed within the next 24 hours.

We’ll continue to bring you the latest as it happens as the President’s immigration and crackdown on crime in America’s cities continues.
