Karoline Leavitt Bites Back After Troll Pounces All Over Midterm Ballot Pic
Karoline Leavitt spent Election Day on two stages at once: a Fox News set and her own X feed.
On Tuesday, November 3, the former White House press secretary appeared on the network as voters headed to the polls for the midterm elections.
She aimed her comments at James Talarico, the Democratic nominee in the Texas Senate race.
Leavitt accused Talarico of presenting himself as a moderate to win over voters. She said the approach fits a pattern.
“This is exactly what the Democrats do in every election cycle,” Leavitt said. She called Democrats “incredibly disingenuous.”
She then described how she believes Talarico would behave in office.
“But when they are elected, God forbid, if Talarico is elected, and we pray that he isn’t after polls close tonight, he will govern as a far left extreme liberal that he truly is,” she said.
Talarico faced Republican Ken Paxton for the Texas seat, a race that ranked among the most closely watched contests of the 2026 midterms.
His platform called for a public healthcare option, a $15 federal minimum wage and protections for abortion rights.
Leavitt’s own ballot drew attention too. She cast her vote in her home state of New Hampshire and posted a photo to X showing herself wearing an “I Voted” sticker.
She followed that with a second image: her marked ballot. It showed votes for three Republicans.
Kelly Ayotte received her vote for governor, John E. Sununu for the U.S. Senate and Anthony DiLorenzo for the U.S. House of Representatives.
An X user pounced on the ballot image, assuming it came from a mailed-in vote. The user wrote: “So mail-in ballots are ok. Great message!!”
The comment pointed to Leavitt’s public record on the subject. She has criticized mail-in voting and alleged the system is open to fraud.
Leavitt answered the user directly. “This isn’t a mail in ballot. I took this picture of my ballot at the voting booth. Get lost!” she responded.
Her answer placed her inside a polling location, voting in person, when she snapped the photo.
The exchange revived her earlier remarks on the topic.
In November 2025, while serving as White House press secretary, Leavitt told reporters at a press briefing that fraudulent ballots were being submitted under other people’s names and under the names of undocumented immigrants.
“There is blatant FRAUD with their mail-in voting system,” Leavitt said at the time.
She continued with a second statement.
“Fraudulent ballots are being mailed in under the names of other people and illegal aliens! There are countless examples. And we are looking into executive action,” she added.
Following her latest post, users on X questioned whether sharing a ballot photo lined up with those earlier statements.
Leavitt no longer works at the White House. She left the press secretary job in August 2026 and said becoming a mother of two influenced her decision to step away from the demanding role.
After her departure, she announced she would join Fox News as a contributor. She also said she would keep working on other projects and remain active in Republican politics.
