Lauren Boebert’s Ex-Husband Arrested After Incident

Ex-Husband of Lauren Boebert Arrested After Alleged Incident; Police Announces End of Investigation

Rep. Lauren Boebert has been the subject of unwanted attention several times in recent months.

In May, Boebert announced her divorce after 18 years of marriage. In September, she was escorted out of a public theater for lewd behavior and raucous outbursts.

This week, Boebert’s ex-husband Jayson was arrested for fighting with the Colorado congresswoman, according to the Daily Caller.

Police are reportedly investigating the altercation, which occurred on Saturday evening at the Miner’s Claim restaurant in Silt, Colorado.

The Denver Post reported that Jayson claimed Lauren struck him in the face during the encounter. Lauren denies the claim.

Shortly after the altercation, the Colorado representative responded in a statement: “This is a sad situation for all that keeps escalating and another reason I’m moving. I didn’t punch Jason in the face, and no one was arrested.”

Several days later, Jayson was arrested.

Jayson Boebert faces misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief charges following an explosive incident with Boebert at a restaurant in Colorado.

According to CBS News, court documents note that Jayson was arrested and processed at Garfield County Jail and released on a $2,500 bond.

Amid swirling controversy, the conservative congresswoman announced she will be running for reelection. She currently represents the 3rd Congressional District; however, her bid is to represent the state’s 4th Congressional District.

According to a late-breaking report on Fox News, “When police arrived, they found no marks or injury on his face and described his behavior as “highly intoxicated” and “uncooperative.” Rep. Boebert was depicted in the police report as cooperative with responding officers.

When interviewing staff at the restaurant, employees told police they repeatedly asked Jayson Boebert to leave several times, but he refused.

The police report adds that officers also asked Jayson to leave, but he ignored their requests, forcing officers to “physically remove him.”

Jayson ultimately walked back his claim that his wife punched him in the face. Officers have determined that allegations of wrongdoing against the congresswoman “are unfounded.”

Silt Police Lt. Matt Gronbeck reported: “The investigation into Rep. Lauren Boebert is closed.”
