Dan Bongino Ends Show Early After Announcing Tragic Family News

Watch: Dan Bongino Ends Show Early After Announcing The Death of His Mother, Details Spiritual Experience

During Friday’s edition of “the Dan Bongino Show,” host Dan Bongino closed the episode early, revealing the news of his mother’s unexpected passing, and explaining that the same night he experienced a spiritual encounter that profoundly affected him.

Bongino came to the end of his show on Friday saying, “Folks, I’m going to end the show early today. I’m going to tell you what happened last night because I’m having a bit of a rough time, as you can tell. I’m going to try to get through this, alright?”

“My mom died last night. Unexpectedly. She fell down a flight of stairs. And I found out earlier this morning,” he said, pausing to hold back his emotions. “I found out at about 4:43 in the morning.”

He explains that he wanted to call his wife, Paula, as she was in Miami with their daughter at the time, adding that he’s almost never home alone.

“Last night’s the first time I’ve been alone in my house in a long time,” he said, before detailing an experience he had that night. “For those of you who don’t believe in God, I’m not here to judge you…But I want to tell you something. I want to tell you in advance, I’m not crazy, OK?”

He explained that, at about 3:00 in the morning, “Someone grabbed me. Like hugged me. Like a mom.”

“Folks I’m telling you I’m not crazy,” he said, explaining that he frequently wakes up at 3:00, and saying he got up that night to get water, so he could tell he wasn’t dreaming, and as he got back into bed, someone grabbed him.

“It was real. I’m telling you it was real. I actually jumped up. I know it sounds crazy, but I was looking for my gun. And I started looking around the house,” saying he ran through every possible explanation, wondering if his wife had come home early, or his daughter returned from college, or even friends had entered his home to play a joke on him.

“I’m telling you, if you don’t believe in God and the afterlife, I would after last night,” he said. “You’re free to believe whatever you want, obviously. As I sat this morning, in my own shower, hunched over, kind of crying a little bit, I’ve never believed more in the power of Jesus.”

Bongino concluded, “I’ll let you guys know about the show tomorrow, because you know, the world goes on, and everybody’s suffering, and i think my mom wants me to do what I can do, but obviously, I have to bury her, and my brothers and I, so we got some stuff to take care of.”

“But I’m going to do my best to be here with you, because there are other people suffering too, and I have a job, and she understood that, better than anyone. Thanks for hearing me out, I’ll see you guys later.”
