Patrick Bet-David Calls Out Rabbi Shmuley’s ‘Strange Behavior’, Says ‘There’s Nothing Funny’ About It

Patrick Bet-David, the Iranian-born entrepreneur behind the Valuetainment YouTube channel, has shared his thoughts on the latest controversy involving celebrity Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

On Sunday, Shmuley released a video on X debuting his costume portraying a “Candace Owens Jew,” an amalgamation of caricaturesque Jewish stereotypes seemingly intended to satirize the perceived antisemitism of pundit Candace Owens.

The costume included numerous features generally seen as wildly antisemitic, including a grotesque hooked nose and a t-shirt patterned with one hundred dollar bills.

Most strikingly, Boteach’s costume was accessorized with a red cup of “Christian blood.” Boteach pretended to drink from the red cup, pantomiming inebriation in a reference to an X post claiming that he was “drunk on Christian blood.”

The video was met with bewilderment and mirth by social media users—but Bet-David was not amused, responding on X to share his disapprobation of Shmuley’s stunt.

“There’s nothing funny about this video,” Bet-David wrote. “Regardless of the dispute, this is strange behavior by a grown man. There’s nothing wrong with debating differences but this behavior is a bad reflection of any community.”
