Clint Eastwood, the legendary actor and director, recently made a rare public appearance at a speaking event hosted by renowned conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
A photo of the event was shared to LinkedIn by Fred Greenstein, a self-described “Strategy Consultant to Retirement Plan Advisors.”
“Went to see Jane Goodall speak in Carmel,” Greenstein wrote. “At 90 years old, she is truly a saint. Shared lessons from living with apes and her passion for protecting the planet. Talking with Jane here is a very disheveled Clint Eastwood.”
The event, titled “Reasons for Hope,” was held at the local Sunset Cultural Center, where tickets were priced at $95. Further photos and videos of the event were shared exclusively by the Daily Mail.
At 93 years old, Eastwood, who will soon turn 94, was seen in high spirits despite his advanced age. He attended the event dressed in a blue checkered flannel shirt, gray slacks, and sneakers, and took a front-row seat.
Eastwood also had the opportunity to engage with Dr. Goodall (who recently celebrated her 90th birthday) during a special VIP reception, which was an extension of the event open to select guests.
The two were observed having a one-on-one conversation, an interaction that likely covered topics of mutual interest such as conservation and wildlife.
