Dismissed Trump Juror Speaks Out About Likelihood Of Impartial Jury

Watch: Dismissed Trump Juror Says She’s ‘Not Sure’ Jury Can Be Unbiased

A potential juror spoke with MSNBC after being dismissed from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s case against Donald Trump for falsified business documents on Wednesday.

She said she’s “not sure” about the jury’s ability to be impartial in the “historical case.”

The case is going to “define so many things, but at the same time, our job as a juror is to be impartial, like to be unbiased,” she said after being asked if there were any discussions with jurors when she left the room.

She added that other jurors who wanted to be selected for the case told her “they feel the duty” to serve.

The woman told Fox News in an interview that she was dismissed because she informed the judge she could not be unbiased, citing it as a “personal thing.”

The Post Millennial reports that the woman had recently become a U.S. citizen, and has not yet voted in a presidential election.

The New York Post reported that seven jurors were chosen on Tuesday, when the trial was last in session.

The trial marks the inaugural instance of a former US president facing criminal charges.

The charges are linked to six-figure hush-money payments purportedly made by the ex-president to former porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal before the 2016 election.

Trump has entered a plea of not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, allegedly aimed at concealing the payments intended to silence Daniels and McDougal regarding their alleged affairs with him, per The Post.

The trial is anticipated to extend over approximately two months. Should Trump be found guilty, he could potentially face a maximum of four years behind bars.

Given the nature of the trial as a criminal proceeding, the former commander-in-chief is required to appear in court for each day of its session.

New developments are unfolding about the jury selection process this week. Kyle Becker, for example, highlighted on Thursday about a juror having second thoughts about participating in the Trump trial.

“Yesterday the court received a call from Juror #2 overnight… she apparently has concerns about being fair and balanced,” he said, quoting Fox News. “Now they are bringing her in to be questioned.”

Other users on X have weighed in about the impossibility for Trump to receive a fair trial. “It is impossible for @realDonaldTrump to get a fair trial in New York,” Alex Breusewitz said.

“One juror already got caught LYING about her feelings about Trump. I’m sure many of the others are as well! This whole thing is RIGGED by Biden and the Democrats to interfere with the 2024 election!” he continued.
