Internet Rips Ilhan Omar’s Daughter After She Spouts More Bizarre Victim Claims Following Arrest

X Users Rip Ilhan Omar’s Daughter For Complaints Of Being Sprayed With ‘Chemical Weapons,’ Bizarre Victim Claims Following Arrest

Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, made headlines last week after she was suspended from Barnard College at Columbia University, then arrested over her involvement in anti-Israel protests on campus.

Now, Hirsi’s back in the media spotlight claiming victimhood to TeenVogue, and users on X aren’t mincing words following her latest claims of being “homeless” and “without food.”

She also complained about being sprayed with “chemical weapons” during an interview.

An article by The Daily Beast garnered massive attention on Monday when it outlined Hirsi’s recount of her protest arrest to TeenVogue.

“She had no idea she would end up suspended, homeless, and left without food within a matter of days,” Breaking News Intern Amanda Yen writes in the introduction.

Users like Not The Bee’s Harris Rigby noted Yen’s choice use of terminology like “homeless” to make Hirsi’s recount more impactful and dramatic. Especially because outlets like The Daily Beast would typically opt for more politically correct language like “unhoused.”

Others blasted the whole story as a shame considering Hirsi’s mother works in the U.S. Congress.

Hirsi was also torched online after she said, “I was a little bit frantic, like, where am I going to sleep? Where am I gonna go?” to Teen Vogue after she was evicted from campus housing and banned from the dining hall.

“And also all of my s–t is thrown in a random lot. It’s pretty horrible,” she complained. “I have like four shirts, two pairs of pants. I don’t know when I can go home, and I don’t know if I ever will be able to.”

Hirsi, reflecting on the event, said she found it “really frustrating” because the group she was a part of was “literally sitting in a circle singing songs” when they were arrested.

“I think it is really egregious of them to completely misrepresent what was happening and have the audacity to call us things like terrorists,” she added to TeenVogue.

Plenty of other accounts chimed in on X following the story to blast Hirsi and her mother.

“Wow it’s a good thing Ilhan Omar steered $3 million in campaign funds into her own bank accounts through her husband’s firm, otherwise she might have had a hard time providing for her deadbeat kid,” wrote by an account named Oilfield Rando.

Another account Bonchie said, “They want you to believe the daughter of a congressional member attending a $90,000-a-year school couldn’t afford to grab some McDonald’s.”

Moshe Emilio Lavi wrote, “She’s neither homeless nor starving; she led violent, unlawful, and hateful demonstrations that are not pro-Palestinian but anti-Israeli; she knew thae she’ll be suspended as the school warned her; and you, The Daily Beast, are showing us what is bad and corrupt journalism.”

Hirsi has also made an appearance on MSNBC where she painted the protestors as victims and claimed criticism of them was hypocritical because counter-protestors were involved.

“There is definitely some hypocrisy here,” she said Monday night. “You can kind of see it with the students that sprayed us with the chemical weapons and the fact that there is no public information as to what happened to them.”

Ilhan Omar came to her daughter’s defense on Monday, saying, “Throughout history, protests were co-opted and made to look bad so police and public leaders would shut them down.”

“That’s what we are seeing now at Columbia University,” she added. “The Columbia protesters have made clear their demands and want their school not to be complacent in the ongoing Genocide in Gaza. Public officials and media making this about anything else are inflaming the situation and need to bring calmness and sanity back.”
