Trump Assassination Bombshell Shakes MAGA

Marjorie Taylor Greene Accuses Trump of Not Telling the Truth About Butler Assassination Attempt

Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is publicly questioning the official narrative surrounding the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt against President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Greene shared a lengthy post on X from activist Trisha Hope and said the public still lacks key answers about what happened that day.

“Corey Comperatore’s family deserves to know the truth about Matthew Crooks and what happened in Butler on July 13, 2024,” Greene wrote. She then added, “President Trump, of all people, should be leading the charge. Why isn’t he?”

Greene later clarified she was not calling the shooting a hoax, but said many unanswered questions remain.

“I’m not calling the Butler assassination a hoax. But there are a lot of questions that deserve public answers,” she wrote. She specifically asked whether gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks acted alone and why more information has not been released.

The July 2024 attack happened during a Trump rally at the Farm Show Grounds in Butler.

Authorities said 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks climbed onto a nearby rooftop and fired several rounds toward Trump.

One bullet grazed Trump’s ear.

Another struck firefighter Corey Comperatore, who was seated behind Trump and died at the scene.

Counter-sniper teams then killed Crooks.

The incident triggered immediate national outrage and became one of the defining moments of the 2024 election cycle.

Trump’s image with blood on his face and fist raised while shouting “Fight, fight, fight!” became one of the most recognized political photographs in modern U.S. history.

Greene is now joining other conservative figures who have questioned aspects of the case, including Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, and Ali Alexander, according to the report.

Much of the controversy centers on security failures.

Reports after the shooting said four counter-sniper teams were present that day, including two from the United States Secret Service and two from local law enforcement, per the Daily Mail.

The rooftop used by Crooks was reportedly outside the primary Secret Service perimeter and was the responsibility of local Pennsylvania police.

Then-Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned soon after the attack.

A later Secret Service report found that multiple operational and communications gaps preceded the assassination attempt.

Those findings confirmed security failures.

They did not establish a broader conspiracy.

At this point, no public evidence has shown that Crooks had accomplices or that the shooting was staged.

Greene’s demand for more disclosure reflects continued distrust among many voters who believe the full story has not been released.
