New WH Press Secretary Revealed

Trump Adds 24-Year-Old Conservative Reporter as Assistant WH Press Secretary — The New Karoline Leavitt?

President Donald Trump has added a 24-year-old conservative reporter to his White House communications operation as he continues reshaping the press team following Karoline Leavitt’s departure.

Beni Rae Harmony confirmed that she has joined the administration as an assistant press secretary and White House spokesperson.

Harmony previously served as senior White House correspondent for Real America’s Voice.

Her move to the White House comes as Trump has yet to name a permanent replacement for Leavitt, who left the press secretary role in August.

White House spokesperson Anna Kelly praised Harmony’s hiring.

“Beni Rae Harmony has been a trusted voice for the MAGA movement as a White House correspondent,” Kelly said.

“She will be an outstanding addition to President Trump’s communications team as an Assistant Press Secretary — we look forward to having her on board!”

Harmony also confirmed the move herself on social media.

Real America’s Voice Vice President Parker Sigg publicly congratulated her and praised her work at the network.

“A huge congratulations to Beni Rae Harmony on her new role as Assistant Press Secretary and White House Spokesperson!” Sigg wrote.

He described Harmony as someone who brought a strong work ethic, sharp reporting and high energy to the network.

Harmony joined Real America’s Voice in September 2025.

Before that, she worked at WICS-ABC20 in Springfield.

Her departure from that station came after she was suspended for delivering an emotional on-air tribute to conservative activist Charlie Kirk following his assassination.

Harmony later resigned from the station.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she also previously worked for Turning Point USA.

She served as a producer and administrator for the organization from August 2021 until February 2022.

The Daily Mail reported that Trump had taken a liking to Harmony.

The report cited a previous TMZ story that said Trump was seen reading a file about her aboard Air Force One on Sept. 13.

There has been no announcement that Harmony is being considered for the top press secretary position.

Her new title is assistant press secretary and White House spokesperson.

The distinction is significant because the administration still has not named a permanent successor to Leavitt.

Leavitt announced in August that she was leaving the White House to spend more time with her two young children, per the Daily Mail.

Her departure became official later that month.

Leavitt has since returned to MAGA Inc., the Trump-aligned super PAC where she previously worked before joining Trump’s 2024 campaign.

She had become the youngest White House press secretary in U.S. history.

Leavitt later said the demands of the job had become increasingly difficult to balance with raising her children.

She described the White House press secretary role as effectively requiring around-the-clock attention.

Leavitt said her children were at a stage where they needed her to be home more often.

She also praised Trump for giving her the opportunity despite concerns from others about her age.

“So many people told him when he was considering me for this job that I was too young,” Leavitt said.

“He ignored all the doubters and he gave me a chance.”

Leavitt has declined to publicly name who she believes should replace her.

She said the decision belongs entirely to Trump.

“There is definitely a list, and there’s a lot of good people,” Leavitt said.

“I won’t say any names or break any news on that front.”

Harmony now becomes one of the newest additions to that communications operation.

At 24, she brings a relatively young profile to a White House team that has already placed several younger media figures in prominent roles.

Her background in conservative media and previous work with Turning Point USA also gives her direct ties to the broader MAGA movement.

For now, however, Harmony is joining the administration below the top press secretary position.

Trump still has not announced who will permanently take over the White House briefing room.

But Harmony’s arrival gives the administration another public-facing communications figure as the search for Leavitt’s successor continues.
